The Leopard revolution that no one talked about

A subtle (but not so little) change appeared in Leopard, and maybe I missed it, but I didn’t see anyone talk about it: the menu bar lost its rounded corners!

The Leopard revolution that no one talked about

Okay, this might not seem to be a huge event, but I think it’s the first time there are no rounded corners on the Mac OS menu bar. And no one celebrated that?!

People preferred to complain about the menubar opacity (which I like actually), but I think it was one of the things that made Mac OS look different from other operating systems.

I’m wondering if people were afraid to switch to mac because they thought they would lose a couple pixels on their screen… just kidding!

What do you think about this? Did you like the old rounded corners, or do you prefer Leopard’s menu bar?

I kind of like the round corners on my Mac.

Looks clean and breaks the squared appearance that’s omnipresent in computers. Are your Leopard windows squared as well? Would seem strange since the window options are circles.

Leopard windows have rounded corners by default. Some have squared ones at the bottom, but it’s usually very consistent.
