Interview: Charles
July 9th, 2008
Charles-Étienne is a very good friend of mine. He’s been using PCs for years, and never owned on a Mac. But last year, he made the switch as he started studying graphic design and… you know… when you’re in graphic design… well… you must have a Mac.
- How long did it take you to completely switch from PC to Mac?
Well, it took exactly 2 hours… There was a formation being held at my school for the poor people like me who was switching from PC to Mac… and as a graphic designer I had to switch. It was like a question of life and death. The formation was about keyboard shortcuts and general use of the OS (Tiger at the time). It took exactly 2 hours and I fell in love. Our love story is still going on today… isn’t that beautiful ? - Do you still use PCs?
No, and if I do, please god strike me dead. - Do you use BootCamp or Parallels or VMware?
No, not at the moment, but If I do, it’ll be Bootcamp to play video games. Even though Blizzard software is fully compatible with Macs, I hate to say that but games are still faster with the Microsoft OS. - What applications do you mostly use, apart from graphic ones?
The iLife ‘08 suite, the iWork ‘08 suite, iTunes mostly. - Is there a specific program you use and would like to share with us?
Adium. There has been lots of problems lately with the it and MSN servers but this little program lets you chat on the MSN servers with the class of a Mac OS X app. - Would your leave your Mac for a PC?
Hahaha… Are you kidding me? This is a joke, right? Would I leave my Mac for a PC ? Would you dump the girl from Transformers: The Movie for Mother Teresa?
Thanks Charles.
